Yay, it’s #freeyourpictures Friday!
The idea for “#freeyourpictures Friday” began as a way to remind people to upload their photos to their computer each week. It started to evolve from there, because I also wanted to find a way to celebrate memory making and memory keeping. Enter the link party!
So, how does it work? (and what the heck is a link party, right?)
This is your friendly weekly reminder to upload your photos from your digital devices to your computer (or cloud). Import the images from your cameras, memory cards, phones, or anywhere else you may have photos.
If you are taking pictures, importing them is a key component of your digital workflow.
Your memories are important, so I encourage you to do this every week!
Create a project involving photos.
It could be anything from a scrapbook layout, a pocket page, putting a photo in a frame, or just picking your favorite picture or Instagram of the week.
This is where the link-up comes in. A link party allows you to upload a link or photo and display it for others to see.
What can you share?
- A picture of a project you created this week
- An Instagram image that you love or that was the highlight of your week
- Add a link to a blog post that has your project or photos
- A page from your art journal
Anything goes, as long as it is related to memory making or memory keeping.
See that blue button below? Just click “Add your link” and you will be taken to the #freeyourpictures Friday link-up page.
You can also participate by using the hashtag #freeyourpictures on Instagram or Twitter.
Easy peasy. Oh, and be sure to visit other posted links and leave them some love. Let’s encourage each other to keep creating and sharing!
* This link party will be open until the next #freeyourpictures Friday on November 21st, so feel free to add links until then.
