Day 14 of 31: Create a Calendar
Photo calendars are a great way to showcase your images and have them be a part of a usable and practical item. They also make great gifts for family and friends! There are several different options for creating calendars, and we will discuss three of them.
Use a traditional ‘cut and paste’ calendar
Close to My Heart’s 12″ x 12″ Monthly Calendar can be customized with photos and stamping. Put the month’s name on the grid side and use photos on the opposite side. You can create a photo collage or a traditional 12″ x 12″ layout for the calendar.
Customize a Pre-made Design
Photo processors, such as Snapfish, Shutterfly, and Persnickety Prints, offer several different styles of photo calendars. Once you choose your design (size, style, etc.), just upload your photos and place them on the page of the month you choose. The calendar can then be ordered in the same way as ordering prints.
Use a Digital Scrapbooking Template
Many digital scrapbooking product designers offer photo calendar templates. These can be customized with your photos by editing them in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Once you have placed your images in the template, they are ready to print onto photo paper or at a photo processor. You can find templates in sizes from 4″ x 6″ up to poster-sized.
If your style leans more on the shabby side, I love the designs of Shabby Miss Jenn. Her designs are so cute and fun.

For a minimal look, I recommend the designs at Paislee Press.

I have shown you two examples, but there are many other designers and styles available. If you prefer something different, just do a quick search of the internet, and I am sure you will find it!
Please stop by tomorrow for Day 15!
