Let’s talk about 35mm negatives and slides. You may be ‘old enough’ to have your own, or you may have had some handed down to you. Have you wondered what to do with them? Maybe you would like to have prints made of them to share with family and friends?
There are several companies online that will scan negatives and slides at a high resolution, make adjustments to the color, and save your images on a CD/DVD. Once you receive your disk of images, you can then order prints from your favorite photo processor.
If you don’t feel comfortable sending your irreplaceable negatives and slides through the mail, there are other options. For example, you can take them to your local Walmart or Costco. They will also scan your images and provide you with a disk.
As you can see, it is easy to bring slides and negatives into the 21st century. Do just let them gather dust in a box, get them scanned. They will be much easier to share with family and friends, as well as pass on to future generations. Come back tomorrow for Day 11!
